Where the Water’s Deep is the exciting debut album of Tassie indie/folk trio Just Flare.

The title of the album ‘Where the Water’s Deep’ came to be due to the noticeable, yet unintentional recurring theme of water, present in many of the tracks featured on the album. When considering the symbolism of water throughout her lyrics, vocalist Hannah Lawes touches on the notion that where there is an abundance of water, there also is often the potential for life in abundance. Often being a place where civilisations decide to settle, bodies of water are at times, often symbolic of meeting places with the potential for nurturing life.
